Hi, I’m Lexi Haft!

Therapist by training, human by nature, and the heart behind Wellhouse.

I work with individuals and couples who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. Many of my clients are deep feelers, high achievers, or caretakers who are used to keeping it all together on the outside while quietly struggling on the inside.

Raised in Southern California and now living in New York City, I bring a balance of grounding presence and forward-moving energy to the therapy room. I draw from mindfulness, self-compassion, and movement-based practices to help you create more balance, connection, and peace—so you can live with greater clarity, confidence, and alignment.

My Story

I started my career in fitness and nutrition, convinced that feeling good in your body was the key to feeling good in your life. I loved watching people light up after a great workout, feel strong in their bodies, and hit goals they never thought possible.

But over time, I began to notice something missing: even when someone was doing all the “right” things—eating well, moving daily, staying disciplined—they often still felt anxious, unfulfilled, or unsatisfied. The physical progress wasn’t enough to quiet the ache of not feeling good enough.

Without tending to what’s happening on the inside—our emotions, beliefs, and inner voice—we’re left chasing a version of wellness that never quite lands. I saw people doing everything they could to feel better, but still feeling lost within themselves. And I knew that kind of healing needed a different kind of space.

Today, I help individuals and couples slow down, tune in, and explore what’s really going on beneath the surface. My approach is relational, holistic, and rooted in presence—because true healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken. It’s about reconnecting with yourself, honoring your full humanity, and creating a life that feels like home.

That’s the heart of my work—and the mission behind Wellhouse.

My Approach

RELATIONAL

I bring my full, authentic self into the room and believe healing happens through safe, supportive relationships. Together, we’ll explore how past and present dynamics shape how you relate to yourself and others—building trust, insight, and a deeper sense of connection.

EMOTIONS-FOCUSED

Emotions are messengers—and when we learn to understand and honor them, we can begin to shift our patterns and responses. In our work together, I’ll support you in slowing down, tuning in, and getting to the root of what you’re feeling beneath the surface.

TRAUMA-INFORMED

I work with deep care and attunement to help you process painful experiences without re-traumatizing—focusing not just on what happened to you, but what’s happening within you as a result. We’ll go at your pace and honor your boundaries.

My Specialties

  • If you’ve been feeling stuck in spirals of overthinking, low mood, or exhaustion—you’re not alone. Together, we’ll explore the patterns and triggers that leave you feeling overwhelmed. With personalized tools, we’ll help you feel more grounded, present, and in control—one step at a time.

  • Struggling with body image or disordered eating can feel exhausting and isolating. Together, we’ll explore the deeper emotions, experiences, and beliefs that have shaped your relationship with food and your body—cultivating a more compassionate, trusting connection with yourself.

  • Dating and relationships can bring up self-doubt, confusion, and old patterns that are hard to break. Whether you're navigating conflict, struggling with boundaries, or feeling disconnected, therapy offers space to better understand your needs and strengthen how you show up in your relationships.

  • Trauma can leave lasting imprints—on your thoughts, your body, your relationships, and your sense of safety in the world. In therapy, we’ll gently explore the impact of those experiences and work toward healing that feels safe, empowering, and grounded in compassion.

  • Whether you’re navigating a breakup, career change, move, or simply feeling uncertain about your path, therapy can help you process the shift and reconnect with your sense of self. Together, we’ll explore your values, strengthen resilience, and create space for clarity and new beginnings.

  • Low self-esteem can show up in quiet ways—through your choices, your relationships, and the way you speak to yourself. In therapy, we’ll explore the beliefs and experiences that shaped your self-worth and begin to rewrite your story—building a stronger sense of self-trust, confidence, and compassion.
